Vehicle Insurance Options

Our vehicle hire rates include standard insurance cover with an excess. Our insurance add-on packages below are designed to give you added peace of mind and can be selected along with other optional extras during the booking process.

You may also wish to consider taking out travel insurance to cover you just in case you need medical assistance, you loose your belongings, or you accidently cause an injury to someone else while on your trip. Click here to find out more.

Insurance for The Freedom Camper

Birdz Extra Package No.3 - $10.00 per day
Reduces excess from $3,000 to $1,000. Maximum 40-day charge - i.e. $400

Birdz Extra Package No.2 - $25.00 per day
Reduces excess to $250. Accidental damage to overhead and underbody section of the vehicle. Maximum 40-day charge - i.e. $1,000.

Birdz Bounds Pack - $45.00 per day
Get peace of mind with our optional Birdz Bounds Pack. The rates quoted include insurance with an excess and security bond of $3,000. (Security bond is taken by way of an authorisation and is not withdrawn from your account). This Inclusive Package provides peace of mind for travellers ensuring you have done all you can to reduce any further costs on your hire.
Package includes:

• Insurance excess to $250
• Accidental damage to overhead and underbody section of the vehicle
• Picnic table
• Portable BBQ
• Change of linen
• 2 x boogie boards
• Windscreen cover

Insurance for Adventure Backpacker

Birdz Extra Package No.3 - $9.00 per day
Reduces excess from $2,000 to $850. Maximum 40-day charge - i.e. $360.

Birdz Extra Package No.2 - $20.00 per day
Reduces excess to $250. Accidental damage to overhead and underbody section of the vehicle. Maximum 40-day charge - i.e. $800.

Birdz Bounds Pack - $28.00 per day
Get peace of mind with our optional Birdz Bounds Pack. The rates quoted include insurance with an excess and security bond of $2,000 (security bond is taken by way of an authorisation and is not withdrawn from your account), This Inclusive Package provides peace of mind for travellers ensuring you have done all you can to reduce any further costs on your hire.

• Picnic chairs/stools
• Change of linen

Insurance Cover on all Cars

Collission Damage Waiver - $20 per day
Get peace of mind with optional (collission damage waiver). The rates quoted include insurance with an excess of $1,500. This Inclusive Package provides peace of mind for travellers ensuring reduced excess from $1,500 to $250.

Windscreen Cover on all Cars and Campervans - $ 7.50 per day
Maximum 40-day charge - ie $200
